My name is Robert Parkinson (he/him), and you can call me Rob! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCASA). I currently provide individual and group services to adults through this practice Third Eye Counseling in Asheville, North Carolina. While also facilitating the development and growth of a clinical collaborative with trusted colleagues.
I have been working in social and behavioral healthcare services for 11 years, intersecting with my education. I have achieved both my Bachelor and Master of Social Work from the University of Central Florida (UCF). I have gained wisdom from experience in crisis intervention, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, substance abuse detoxification, medical social work, educational programming, and more - with services in the home, rehabilitation facilities, community mental health hospitals and outpatient clinics. My present day independent practice has developed over several years to focus on transformative depth-work and healing with clients in outpatient counseling and psychotherapy.

My goal is to engage others through a lifelong vision of healing, learning, and teaching. I believe in making a difference in the lives of communities and individuals through a holistic method of client treatment. I aim to remain a reliable resource for this community with attentive and sincere care.
I also believe it is the duty of a well-rounded person to pursue ones own creative endeavors and dreams in order to become a more fully realized individual. When Iām not working with you or colleagues while building this practice, I am often learning new ways to best support you.
